The readout is a little bit cryptic, but this was a great way to confirm everything is working. It’s fast, and there’s not very much to do wrong, so it’s great for troubleshooting.
Helped me divide and conquer the problem.
It would help if it would start. I am using a MacBook 3,1 running OS X Lion (10.7.5). Please help, it crashes almost immediately. Thanks!
It doesn’t work with .p8 files.
This app works perfectly.
The App Crashes when trying to send a test. OS X 10.8. MBP Retina
Nice tool to verify APN certificate and privisioning profile are working. How about a GCM version too?
App doesnt even load. It just "quits unexpectedly".
In the previous version I was able to add/switch certs and the app would crash occasionally. In this version anytime I add or change a certificate it just crashes. This is a nice tool when it works, but getting it to work is the hard part.
time for some garbage collection TRASH!!!!
I needed something like this for a long time, since testing push notifications is a pain even when the server-side is fully setup. The first two versions of APN Tester were completely borked, but looks like they finally figured it out, geez - I am able to load the certificate and send the notifications to my test devices. Thanks for fixing it, finally.
The app is very unstable. I haven’t been able to use it once. Clicking on the buttons to selecte development/production causes a crash. Clicking on “Push” causes a crash. Also, the app only reads .cer files… why not .p12 as well?
It said it was fixed in the changelog but it is definetly not! When you click push it just crashes.
Works great and a huge timesaver when developing Phonegap apps with push.
Thank you for giving back to the ios dev community!
Easy to setup and intuitive to use. Much better than setting up a development server just to send push notifications. Xenia Hertzenberg, thank you for making such a helpful application!
It works well and very useful. Thanks. :)
Phew … getting APNS to work was such a drag but this app made part of it easier. Thanks for sharing!
I’m not sure, but app is still crashing when I taps on “Push” button. Sandly removing!!
